Arpine Azlvyan

I have been teaching ballet and the Gyrotonic® Method for over 10 years at various schools and studios. I have had the pleasure to work with people of various ages and abilities. The outcomes continue to surprise me. It is deeply fulfilling to be part of someone's growth process. This is what I believe: The body is the map of our life experience.
PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Katie N. Summers

Katie grew up dancing, leading her to receive her BFA in Dance Performance from UC Irvine in 2016 and her MFA in Dance from Cal State Long Beach in 2023. In her dance career, Pilates proves to be a sanctuary for her body and mind— a space for her to strengthen, connect, breathe, and be present apart from the pressures of performance. In 2019, she completed Studio du Corps’ Pilates Teacher Training Program under the mentorship of Diane Diefenderfer. Diane was trained by Ron Fletcher, one of Joe Pilates’ original teachers or “Pilates Elders”. While Katie loves her classical lineage, she is also a bit of an exercise science nerd and enjoys creatively integrating her embodied knowledge in her classes. Katie is so excited to be working with all the incredible individuals at Movement Dynamic!

PILATES

Pilates builds strength through controlled, intentional movement, prioritizing alignment and efficiency. It’s especially beneficial for posture, pain relief, and muscle imbalances. Rather than force, it emphasizes awareness, helping people move smarter in daily life. With consistency, Pilates transforms both body and movement habits, making strength feel effortless and sustainable.
