Arpine Azlvyan’s dance career began at the renowned Alexander Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet
National Theater where she danced for 2 years before moving to America, continuing her career
as a performer and teacher. Arpine studied and graduated from the prestigious School of
Choreography in Armenia and has more than 20 years of experience as a ballet dancer, having
performed in ballets such as Giselle, Don Quixote, Le Bayadere, Paquita, Gayane, Les
Sylphydes, Le Corsaire, Nutcracker, and many others. Since 1993, she has been a dance
instructor and choreographer, teaching ballet to both children and adults in all levels of dance,
dance preparation, and performance. She also possesses a comprehensive knowledge of all forms
of dance and loves to teach young children and adults.
As a dancer first, Arpine understands the importance of maintaining the body’s flexibility,
strength, coordination, and alignment to live a happy, healthy life. In fact, it was a dance injury
that prevented her from moving in her body the way she always had, and the pain led her to seek
many different forms of exercise as a way to find relief. Ready to accept her body’s new
limitations caused by her injury, Arpine discovered GYROTONIC®
. After four sessions she noticed her body returned to the way it was pre-injury. Inspired by her own personal results, she
became a true believer in the GYROTONIC® and Gyrokinesis® method and went on to become a certified
GYROTONIC® instructor; helping to heal and empower dancers and non-dancers alike by taking their fitness and health to the next level.
